Subverting expectations once again, Poprocky’s third studio album summons indie, folk, heartland, and Laurel Canyon rock. Acoustic guitars, harmonicas, and organs are married to introspective lyrics – many written whilst traveling historic regions of the American northeast: northern Virginia, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Maryland, Gettysburg, and Delaware. Nick seeks answers for his identity, heartbreak, and the failures of American leadership. All the while, the record is steeped in hope. Sweet Spring Lane is a road aspiringly, yet hesitantly, traveled.

The new sophomore album Prisms is a plunge into 80s nostalgia - New Romantic, FM Radio Rock, Dreampop, and Yacht Rock. Wrapped around Linn Drums, Poly Synths, and VHS filters are the heartfelt singles Contagious, Steps To Truth, Song For Shohei, and Clean Slate. There are times in life when the future is unclear and change is mandatory; we can all get stuck inside our own prism. The record is a sincere audio journal of the highs and craters of change in life. Using recording methods and instruments made popular by Prince, Springsteen, Finn, Fleetwood, Hall, Butler, Orzabal, Smith, and so many others, Nick channels 1980s radio.

Nick’s self-produced soft rock debut album brings various influences and emotions; the hit single Love On Holiday is a Brian Wilson-style love song for the modern day, and Next Summer is drenched in new wave synths. The album also features the heartbreak power-pop of Open To Change, suggestive Tunnel of Love flair of Dirty Chai Vibes, and warm jazz colors in Candied Dates. Nick cites TWYL as a journey through "chasing what we want, while also learning to appreciate what we have".
