Blog Week 5: Thumbnails
This thumbnail was created to evoke movement from performer/writer into published musical artist. Our eyes move left-to-right, meaning the viewer will first gravitate towards the faceless musician on the left of the canvas; this could be them. They will read a simple, direct phrase that they can produce their music with Seltzer Records, which is underscored with a splash of color from the artist's bass guitar. They then look to the right and see a published album on the Spotify interface, which is familiar to many. If they work with Seltzer Records, they can turn their musicial ideas into something that anyone can stream on their own Spotify account. The concept is that a "nobody" in the music industry can quickly and affordably become a "somebody". This is a central premise in last week's motion graphics video presentation (embedded below).
Blog Week 4: Motion Graphics Video
The concept of Seltzer Records is once again visited in module 4. Imagery and inspirational concepts are shifted into the motion graphics project. This was created via Apple's Keynote. Much of the imagery was created in Adobe Photoshop, including each of the album covers published by Seltzer Records. Photography provided by Seltzer Records frequent collaborator and best selling author & poet, Julia Ruggiero. Additional photography by Jake Innes Photography.

Blog Week 2: Mind Map
I chose these elements because Seltzer Records is rooted in the timeless nature of music. As a musician, there are countless influences that impact songwriting and recording decisions. Musicians make choices from chord changes, instrument usage, recording space, audio effects, and marketing/packaging based on what has come before. Seltzer Records is built on the ideas of exploration, bringing artists' visions to life. That is the same motivation that brought The Beatles to America in 1964, propelled David Bowie to stardom, and brought Aretha Franklin's legendary voice to the forefront of the music industry. The brand elements chosen for Seltzer Records invokes those early days of music innovation and exploration. The target audience is musicians and creatives who want to collaborate to bring their work to life.
